The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services announced a final rule Sept. 25 that revises hospital discharge planning requirements for long-term care hospitals and similar facilities. The rule includes removing a requirement for hospitals and critical access hospitals to provide routine and emergency dental care for swing-bed patients, which the ADA supported in 2018 comments to CMS.
