Dr. Michelle F. Ireland received her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1994. She went on to earn her Certificate in Advanced Prosthodontics from the University of Alabama in 1996, where she also served as a professor in the Prosthodontic Department from 1999 to 2008. She is licensed as both a general dentist and as a certified specialist in fixed and removable prosthodontics — the specialty focused on the restoration and replacement of teeth.
Career & Path to Ball Ground

Dr. Ireland maintained a private prosthodontics practice in Chattanooga, becoming a trusted referral destination for general dentists across the region seeking expertise in complex restorative cases.
1999 – 2008
Professor · University of Alabama School of Dentistry
Concurrently with her practice, Dr. Ireland served as a professor in the Prosthodontic Department at the University of Alabama School of Dentistry, teaching and shaping the next generation of dental specialists.
2012
Relocated to North Georgia
In 2012, Dr. Ireland moved to serve patients in North Georgia. She discovered Ball Ground and fell in love with the community — transforming the historic Mercantile building on Main Street into Ireland Restorative Dentistry, the dental practice of her dreams.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Ireland has worked tirelessly to build a reputation for innovative dental advancement in prosthodontics — while never losing sight of what matters most: the patient in the chair. Every person who comes to Ireland Restorative Dentistry is treated as an individual, with a plan tailored specifically to their circumstances, their comfort level, and their goals.
Dr. Ireland believes that great dentistry begins with listening. Before she recommends, she asks. Before she treats, she understands. That philosophy has guided her through thousands of cases — from routine restorations to full-mouth reconstructions that have transformed patients’ confidence and quality of life.
As a fee-for-service practice, Ireland Restorative Dentistry operates outside the constraints of insurance networks — which means Dr. Ireland’s clinical decisions are always guided by what is best for her patient, not what is covered.

Dr. Ireland is not just a dentist in Ball Ground — she is a neighbor, a community member, and a genuine participant in the life of the town she loves. She is joined by her husband David and their children Jonathan and Katie, who share her affection for everything Ball Ground has to offer.
