Fee-for-service dentistry.
Ireland Restorative Dentistry is a fee-for-service practice. We are not in-network with any insurance plan — which means our clinical decisions are guided entirely by your best interests, not by what a plan is willing to cover.
As a courtesy, we will submit your dental insurance claims on your behalf. Many patients receive meaningful out-of-network reimbursement. We will provide all the documentation needed for successful submission.

Do you take my insurance?
We are out-of-network with all insurance plans but file claims on your behalf as a courtesy. Many patients still receive substantial reimbursement at their plan's out-of-network rate. Call us to discuss what to expect for your specific coverage.
How do I pay?
We accept all major credit cards, personal check, and CareCredit — a healthcare financing option that lets you spread the cost of treatment over time with promotional interest rates.
Will I know the cost upfront?
Always. We provide a written treatment estimate before any procedure begins. If your plan changes, we update the estimate and discuss it with you before moving forward. You are never surprised by a bill at Ireland Restorative Dentistry.

Where do I park?
There is dedicated parking directly adjacent to our building at 310 Gilmer Ferry Rd, Suite 200. Additional street parking is available nearby on Ball Ground Main Street. When you call to schedule, just ask — we are happy to give you specific directions and parking guidance.
What makes a prosthodontist different from a regular dentist?
A prosthodontist completes two to three additional years of post-doctoral training beyond dental school, focused specifically on restoring and replacing teeth. Dr. Ireland is one of the few certified prosthodontists in Cherokee County — meaning complex cases that are typically referred out can be treated right here.
Do you see children?
Yes — Dr. Hewgley has a special warmth with children and younger patients. She provides age-appropriate preventive care, exams, and cleanings, and builds the kind of positive early dental experiences that children carry with them for life.
I have dental anxiety. Can you still help me?
Absolutely. Dr. Hewgley has experienced procedural anxiety personally and brings genuine empathy to every anxious patient. Both doctors go at your pace, explain everything before doing it, and take breaks whenever you need them. You are in good hands here.
Do you accept referrals from other dentists?
Yes. Ireland Restorative Dentistry is a referral destination for general dentists throughout Cherokee County and North Georgia who have patients needing complex prosthodontic care. If your dentist has referred you to us, you are in exactly the right place.
